I picked andersen in all my fantasy leagues. Glad i did. It was funny going through the thread and all the negativity toward him. Kadri and andy are very happy im sure being out of the hotbed in toronto

Revisiting this, it seems Andersen has so far exceeded some expectations expressed in this thread last year, including "garbage" and "low end starter".
Early days still in the new team, and only the playoffs really count, but he seems to be doing fine.
35/48 GP, 26-7-2, 2.10 GAA, .927 save ratio
If the Vezina was voted on today, it would probably go to him, Markstrom, or Shesterkin. lol
That said - his playoff resume has yet to be updated, and that was a real concern. Time will tell.

Kadri rejected deals out of Toronto before they dealt him to a team not on his NTC list, he wanted to stay. He loved the attention from being a Leaf. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he went to a different Canadian team in free agency.
Andy probably was glad to get to a quieter market though.
