Slavin could've/should've gotten much more. He should be a 8-9M dollar man. Puzzling.
He did the same thing on his last contract. What the actual f***
This is an absolute steal. Why would slavin agree to that. He could’ve easily gotten 8x8, I guess he wants to take a discount to win
Slavin just doesn't care about money, and it's not a PR bit. It's genuinely not something that drives him. He has to take something appropriate for his skill level or the NHLPA will be upset, but he's going to take what he deems sufficient for him and his family and the causes he cares about rather than chasing every dollar.Talk about hometown discount...

It's not an act. I have never in my life seen somebody who actually walks the walk of their faith the way Slavin does. For him, it's genuinely about faith, family, community, and team.
Vlasic in his prime was pretty darn good.
Slavin's reputation is aided by the advanced stats era which was in its infancy when Vlasic was one of the best in the league.
You do know there's more to being a defenseman than putting up points right? There is only so much you can pay a guy that puts up 5-6 goals and 35 pts a year
I think this is a pretty fair contract for what he brings
