There better be some additional discpline coming here for Tampa. I'm personally sick and tired of Kucherov and his antics. This is where we need a Darcy Tucker to beat the piss out of that dirty POS. That whole scrum, there better be a suspension or two coming from all of that and baby face Dubas better be on the phone screaming to get something done.

That team needed that game to come together. Now it's time to build on it. Win the next one and take the life out of them.

They bent but didn't break. Kept their defensive structure while under fire, avoided being penalized and didn't allow goals.
I believe that's what good teams do when the heats on. Everyone and their sister knew the bolts would be pushing hard that game and we had to weather the storm; we did.
The whole didn't deserve to win narrative has always confused me. We didn't deserve to win because they outplayed us? Well maybe their offense was firing well but our defense, which includes the goalie (who Imo looked shaky to start), outplayed their offense.
Maybe the posters that say we didn't deserve to win also still think we are a bad defensive team?
I wonder why there is a saying, "defense wins championships"?

I will add that when we were on the offensive, we also looked good. Other than the first goal, we played well in their zone. Crowding the net, deflection good cycles and we got back on defense when needed.

Only guy that is really worrying me so far is Brodie. He seems nervous with the puck. He's falling down. Getting beat. The cross checks which will eventually come back to bite him. I'm not suggesting sitting him for a game but maybe there's something wrong. We do have Liljegren waiting if need be.

I just don't understand...

The ref was literally hold one of Stamkos's arms while watching him punch Matthews in the face repeatedly. What possible explanation can the ref make for not calling something?

Crazy the talk after about the "fight" between Stamkos and Matthews. It's a bare knuckle sucker punch at a player looking the other way after the scrum completely calmed down.

If it was a Leaf doing that to Stammer the talking heads wouldn't be asking if a suspension is incoming, they would be debating how long it was going to be. Instead not only is no suspension incoming it wasn't even a penalty with the ref 5 feet away staring at it happening.

Nice simple play from Nylander ties it. Nice simple play from Rielly wins in. Pucks on net is key in these types of games.

I thought they were doomed when they didn’t make TB pay on the PP in the 3rd. Nothing being generated, giving the puck away, shooting it right to their players, couldn’t sustain pressure. Then a few good shifts from Matthews with Knies as well. Nylander and ROR with the huge final minute. I couldn’t believe it. New life.

I’d like to know how Rielly broke his nose (looks like anyway) if someone was taking shots at him while he’s piled on that’s something that should be looked at.

For now, ecstatic winning a game like that.

Remember the Hyman suspension and all the chatter about hits that late always getting games? They had it down to the millisecond. Havent heard much about those timelines to hit since then. Funny how that works.

If there is no supplemental discipline Leaf fans should absolutely dump everything on the ice and at the refs and that idiot of a commissioner right at the beginning of game 5.

Kucherov should get a game, Stamkos should get a game. Anything less and the league is crooked. We all know the league is crooked but this one will shine the lamp and these fools.

The Point issue. The guy lost an edge, there is no one else to fault in that situation other than Point,
