It’s almost a certainty he will have a concussion the question is how severe. Hoping it’s mild because severe concussions can end a career. Let’s pray for Johnny.
Honesty, looked like an extremely awful, “and he was never the same again” type injury 
But hopefully I’m wrong, sometimes injuries look terrible at first but the recovery is faster than you’d think, e.g. Patches/Chara. Fingers crossed it’s one of those - a non-career/life altering concussion, his eyes fine, and nothing in his face badly broken.

Dude spent Christmas (and several days) with Mikheyev in the hospital since Mikheyev didn’t have family over here. Now dude took off right away, and is probably at the hospital as we speak.
Perry and Tavares are good friends. The look on Perry’s face tells the story enough.

I had a pretty serious collision when I was playing. To sum it up it was elbow to head and fall into boards. I was out completely. I was back playing a few weeks later, so it doesn't always have to be worst case scenario.
Some guys recover from concussions quickly and never have long term effects. Some guys do. I feel better knowing taveres has not had any recent concussions. If he will recover fully then we should be happy, even if that means he will not play in this year's playoffs

It felt like forever between seeing him go down and get hit by Perry, and the announcers commenting on it. Had a million thoughts racing through my head, just hope he's alright.

Just watch the reply taveres fell into Perry.. if taveres fell into the boards instead would you blame them. I know everyone is mad but Perry should be shown at least a very tiny bit of respect and not be blamed...he clearly feels bad and isn't heartless like some few people are accusing him to be

JT went down from a rough play by chariot that lead to JT running into Perry's knee.. thats our caption.. and he went down BAD. So that now sets the tone accidental or not. Foligno made the right move to set the tone for the future... If you're not careful your going to answer for it.

f***ing hell, alright. Hard to see but looks like lacerations from his visor. Tbh frank blood is much better to see prognostically than the dark bruising you would get from blood draining into those tissues from a deeper fracture. The real bad stuff doesn't give you bleeding you can see.
In the heat of the moment of the game and playoffs, after this series no one on the Leafs will be blaming Perry.. probably a few fans still will though

You can see the glance before and after, which isn't how that play typically unfolds.
