Value of: Capspace: who has got it?

I wanted the Leafs to sign him before it happened. Anyways, this was fun. Get these chirps in before the playoffs because then you will vanish once the Leafs set aside the Sens

Like you vanish after every playoff series lol.

Yep would be a tight series if happens, since Sens have dominated the leafs lately.

You'll have to remind me the last time the Sens beat the Leafs in a playoff series?
Lmao, 2 plus decades ago, how will that affect any series today?
I’ll wait while you explain how series 20-25 years ago has any affect.
Fun fact Sens have more series wins then the leafs in the last 8 years.
appreciate the laughs though.

26-27 will be interesting for Washington, $50M+ in cap space, 12 spots to fill but a lot of the core will remain in place.

Montreal's currently at 11 mil in cap space with no expensive RFAs or UFAs of note to re-sign. That will go down a bit due to bonus overages, but also doesn't include the last season of Price's LTIRetired contract, so they could have around 20 mil in avaliable room depending on how aggressive they want to get.
Habs could trade Price caphit once his bonus has been paid

The next two years the Canucks have 5 million less than other teams, they pay two other players to play against them on other teams, OEL for another 6+ years.

The added cap space will reduce some trades because most team are still set up from the flat cap for another season or so.
Many of the "had to happen because of the cap" trades are done. Most teams will be able to keep their best prospects.
A few teams will have to make adjustments, trades, but then the choice of players will be very limited.

The bigger cap makes it a sellers market, not a buyers market. Hence why draft picks just became even more important because there will be fewer major trades.

Kings set to have 23.48 million in cap space next offseason but need to resign Gavrikov and Laferriere. Lewis will retire. Kuzmenko and Jeannot will either be re-signed or that money will go towards a Marner like player. Jeannot will not likely get a raise if re-signed. Who knows with Kuzmenko? They’re in a good spot.
