The most frustrating part of this game is if we didnt give up the early goal 3 mins in we"d have won. We gave up way too many early goals this year.

no, i don't think i will.
the kid is playing with parssinen and brodzinsky. my sense is he is going out there, like every damn ranger skill forward prospect before him, trying not to make a mistake. He's on a line with 2 guys clawing to nhl careers by their fingernails, trying not to make a mistake.
This is how boring ineffective hockey players are created from malleable talent.

Not trying to be an asshole here but have you ever played ice hockey? Take a shot at the top of the circles is most definitely a good shot, especially with someone who has a strong wrist shot like Mika.
I appreciate where you're coming from, but this isn't a case of a guy lighting it up in the lower leagues and then all of a sudden going cold when he comes to the big club.
He needed to be playing on his natural left side in Hartford with a right-handed Center for him to have a better chance of developing.
Going for it every year has gutted the AHL club which ends up becoming a self for filling prophecy.

The goalie had such a clear view, he could see the puck's unborn children, and there was a stick in the lane.
The point is, if he shot it and it doesn't go in, it's the same result, and then he's dumb for shooting.
It's just looking for a whipping boy because we lost a coin toss.
People can't accept losing a 50/50 game. They have to search the far reaches of the universe for grand design.

That pass while he was alone in the slot right back to a covered player is f***ing peak Rangers all the way. We had so many great looks and either can't finish or just pass it away. We had a 2-0 and just shot it right into the goalie's crest. This team can't goddamn finish.

I’m not blaming Mika for the loss. But players beat goalies clean often. If you don’t take the shot you never know if you’ll score.
The reason why we lost tonight is our PP is absolute dog shit and I hope anyone that had the thought of trading Fox will shut the f*** up because we 100% win this game in regulation with him.

This is WRONG. When Zibby passes he's got like a whole stride ahead of the defender. The defender literally has to reach. If Zib is thinking shot and not pass then he could keep moving his feet. Maybe even draw a penalty. At least put it on goal, but he doesn't even look up before passing to Schneider who is 100% covered. That's why it's a damn bad play.

Don't necessarily disagree and if he shot I would have been fine with that too. I just don't think it was a slam dunk, wide open look. Just a bit of an overreaction imo.
They won't tho, that's the sad part.

It was Lindgren's blocker side & Mika has(had) an excellent wrist shot. He should be shooting there when his winger was clearly being blanketed. If Strome gets a stick on it, there a good chance it goes into the netting. It wasn't a great decision in a series of bad decisions that Schneider put an exclamation point on.

He was definitely on a heater before the callup, but the body of work as a whole isn't something where I think it's the case that he should be a surefire NHLer and the rangers are mishandling his development. Would be more than happy to be proven wrong.

It’s never going to be a slam dunk. But most of the snipers in the league have a massive ego and say f*** you I’m going to score and shoot it anyways. On top of that even if the stick was in the lane you can argue that you take the shot and it deflects towards the net resulting in a goal. My point being, it’s overtime, just take the f***ing shot you never know what is going to happen.
