he's been making dumb ass decisions lately, passing up shots.

He's been consistently passing up shots for several seasons now and it's hurting the team.

Top 6 needs another guy who will cut to the middle. Maybe that’s what Drury goes for.

Point is that even us playing well we aren't good enough to beat good teams consistently. The caps are a very good team.

That's not a point.

Playing well in and of itself isn't good enough to beat anybody. A lot of times it's a tossup.

Losing an overtime game doesn't create a sweeping conclusion on how good or bad anyone is.

I have a lot of gripes with Mika but he is not a "soft" player. He tries every game. Wish he would do some things differently but is what it is. He's been one of our best players lately and without him we wouldn't be having this surge.

That was so much worse than what happened in overtime

That Parssinen 3rd line low key stinks.

It wasn't low key at all. It was out in the open for all to see. Yet Lavi kept spamming them in the 1st half of the 3rd period while sitting Carrick's line.

It's also not really fair to judge their performance when they're sitting two NHL players for deadline reasons to play Parissinen and Othmann.

Give Othmann a full offseason and training camp in the JT Miller Army and I think we will see a different player right out of the gate. It's his team now and I thank God for that. He is our new best player. No team is going to win a Stanley Cup when their best player is nicknamed "Bread" and plays just as soft as a fresh loaf of bread to boot.

I forgot when but Miller was battling someone and managed to get a pass to Othmann who had an airplane hangar sized shooting lane and for some reason he passed it back to Miller lol

It's not worth sitting here arguing about and I hope I'm wrong, but I just don't get Othmann. I don't see it.

And if he backtracked again, he would have been dumb for that too.

We controlled that overtime until Trocheck fired the puck into the side of the net for no reason. Barely a mention of that.

You know it’s possible they both made bad decisions. And your right Mika had a bad angle shot, but the pass was still the worse out of the two since it results in both himself and Miller being out of position

I wish I was wrong about Othmann. He is a tough kid and that is about it.
Still young but not really sure what he is.
Berard on the other hand is a player.
But the real blame has to be again on the top 6!
1 goal and that was set up by a great play made by Jones.

These games Saturday and Sunday are must wins. I really wish they weren’t weird time games (12:30 and 6) it might just be confirmation bias but I feel like we always struggle in games that aren’t at night.

I watched a lot of the Wolfpack last year and almost never came away impressed with Othmann. Berard, on the other hand, it was obvious right away that he's a player.
