He just roofed it hard. Only way to stop that is super fast reflexes or cutting off the angle more and VV didn't have time to cut the angle due to the quick turnover. 50/50 situation imo

Strongly disagree! Eakin could have shot that blocker side if he wanted to. Vitek went down too early. And another thing, any goalie giving up a shot near post is bad goaltending. At least make the shooter beat you far post blocker side! In regard to Vitek not having time to set. He didn't follow the play closely enough, putting him in a position to react late. Just because your teammate appears to just about taking the puck out of your d-zone doesn't mean you let up as the goalie. You follow it and mentally in that moment prepare yourself that OV could lose the puck.
