He just roofed it hard. Only way to stop that is super fast reflexes or cutting off the angle more and VV didn't have time to cut the angle due to the quick turnover. 50/50 situation imo

It was poor technique. Nobody on the other side for Eakin to pass to and Eakin was coming in at angle yet VV was barely at the top of his crease.

First there was no time to come out farther, second there was a Sabre skating the middle lane and a third entering the zone on the left, vs basically nobody back. VV was outside of the crease by about a foot regardless.
