Filthy curl and dragThink Perrault's stick prevented Leonard's shot from crossing the line . Looks like he knocked back out
I actually think he's be more impactful than Lappy right now. Lappy needs to go back to Hershey. I'm guessing that's the plan if/when Patches comes back.Hope he gets some games this year. He deseves it, but right now it will be hard to get in the lineup. Pretty happy with all players except Kuznetsov.

No Cristall for selection camp.
That kind of stuff makes a hungry person hungrier. Not even a sniff….laaaaame.
a bit further down...Beyond that, you're left with a group that is undoubtedly talented but doesn't necessarily jump off the page as the tournament favourites, by any stretch of the imagination. And when you're dealing with a talent pool as deep as Canada's, the logical conclusion from that point can only be that they've left a significant amount of talent behind in the pursuit of accommodating role players – the usual trap for Canada.
So it sounds like more of a matter of their team building philosophy than anything else. It surely doesn't imply that Cristall isn't one of the best young offensive talents in the pool.Staying out west, I'm not necessarily surprised to see them left off Canada's preliminary camp roster, but Riley Heidt and Andrew Cristall are two names that will be brought up if this team struggles to score at any point in the tournament. They are second and third in points per game among WHL skaters as of this writing, and each was a part of last year's bronze medal-winning group at the U18s in Switzerland.

I mean, if he was one of the most coveted players, he wouldn't have dropped to #40 overall and we wouldn't have him. Most of those guys were drafted higher and/or are older than him. I'm no less stoked on him because he was overlooked for this. If he continues to produce like he has been, I'd be shocked if he wasn't on the team next year.It just implies that they didn’t need him, that other offensive players were more coveted….and that’s disappointing.

I would be disappointed too, if I was a Canada fanThat (draft) was then…this is now. Seems like his current performance warrants it but whatever….
I assume he's eligible next year?2023-24 Selection Camp Roster | National Junior Team

No Cristall for selection camp.
No Suzdalev either.
No Suzdalev either.
his choices were either go back to sweden, go to the whl, or stay on the bench in hershey/go to the echl. not many great choices! Not surprised.
I wonder if he regrets going back to Sweden already. His start has not been great...
Seemed like a no brainer to go to the WHL though, and work on being a main threat and not a Bedard side piece.his choices were either go back to sweden, go to the whl, or stay on the bench in hershey/go to the echl. not many great choices!
Him and Bedard spent most of the season on separate lines. I don’t mean that to say he shouldn’t have gone back to the W but his production last year was not just a result of playing with Bedard.Seemed like a no brainer to go to the WHL though, and work on being a main threat and not a Bedard side piece.
