Prospect Info: Caps Prospects General Discussion Thread - 2024-25

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

It is funny how kind of the forgotten prospect at the moment is actually our most recent first rounder. With Hutson and Protas shining so bright when taken in the rounds after Tarik they’ve kind of stolen the thunder. Not like he’s having a bad season from what I’ve seen.

I thought that was Nesbitt? Might have missed it, tho. I know he drew at least one penalty and overall seemed unphased.

He definitely controls the play in the offensive zone like very few other juniors. He's always a step ahead mentally and it's chiefly what makes up for any pace limitations. Great vision.

I think we might be speaking about different instances. It was definitely Protas but that said it wasn't the only time someone was hobbling.

His play around the crease is something incredible too. It's going to be really interesting to see going forward since Caps already have Wilson and Big Pro who are great around the crease too and that's something that Ryan Leonard excels in aswell. They are going to be a handful and are definitely going to expose NHL teams that have smaller D men.

I thought he had a good season. Point totals dropping were expected given how many key players they've lost but he's looked really good when i've watched him. He has been out injured after a dirty headshot for weeks now so there's not much to discuss right now but i'm hoping it was more of a precaution and he returns to their line-up for the Playoffs.

Refs want to keep Bentley in this.

So many hooks, holds and trips uncalled the other way and then someone snaps his head back and they call that? Yikes.

Haha. Still rooting for BC. I want to see Leonard get his national championship!

I suspect this contract has already been negotiated with Leonards agent and is sitting i a drawers waiting to be executed. I suspect he comes pretty quickly.
Yeah, I mean... This would be for the best. But I really am conflicted. It's been a long wait.

Chase Clark isn’t even a Capitals prospect anymore as far as I know. Didn’t get invited to dev camp last summer. He’s about to be on his 4th college team in 4 years.

I watched him at Quinnipiac when he was the backup his freshman year, there’s really not much besides size there.
