BC has gotten shut down the same way several times in the past several months. Their coach did nothing to adjust. I'll be glad when Leonard's away from him.

Yup, I feel like I've watched this game multiple times. This was reminiscent of the loss in the hockey east tournament.

Not influenced by this game specifically, but validates what i have said before which is Leonard should start on the fourth line with Dowd and Duhaime. He will learn a lot there.

Leonard's handles in transition still need work. He seems to fumble it an awful lot without much apparent reason. It doesn't bode massively well as-is in terms of being a great transition player at the moment. He'll also need to keep his emotions in check and not get generally distracted by scrums and the-game-within-the-game.

Nine games remaining. The chance to perhaps be around for 895, this season if not next. Home ice playoffs. Get in, fella.

Agreed, and if he doesn't sign in the next couple days, sound the alarms. I've been in the "nothing to see here" camp regarding him not signing last year, but I pull a complete 180 if he pulls that this year. All signs point to him signing, so I won't worry for a bit.

Todd Nelson also dropped some comments to the effect that he's expecting reinforcements to come from Washington soon. Considering no current Caps players can play without passing through waivers, and none are eligible for the playoffs, it could be taken as an external player about to be signed.

Could be the slip of the tongue but that quote did sound like multiple players are on their way. Interesting to see who signs this week. Chesley probably goes the ELC route starting this year I’d assume. The others could just be ELCs for next year and then an ATO for the rest of the season in Hershey
