The guys can’t be together in a hotel room? That’s seems odd. Like they literally are around each other for the majority of the day. I could see them not wanting multiple teams interacting but to fine them for interactions with one another at a hotel seems silly IMO.

Anyone know the actual rule on hotel rooms? No roommates this year?

If they really only hung out in the hotel room with no other outside people this is simply the NHL trying to put their foot down in the first week to make an example of someone. Non-story if it's that.

Next question, how did they get caught and who knew who to contact about it? Could Lavi/MGMT have snitched on his own players hoping to avoid a bigger punishment in case it came out somehow?...

It's hockey so I'm sure we'll never find out but interesting thoughts.

I'm guessing you can sit beside each other with 160 BPM heart rates and heavy exhalation and talk to each other and that's OK. But no sitting in Hotel room talking about Mother Russia or playing Video Games? That makes no sense!!
