They don’t have the flyers anywhere. I’d assume will be in East.Caps in the east but not Philly?

Yeah, what he saidPhilly would be in the East, it was just a mistake by ESPN to omit them on their graphic.
I give you Peter LavioletteAn Ovi vs Crosby SCF would be great.
But without any Caps vs Pens game in the regular season, the motivation level for the Caps will drop. In the past years it seems like Pens is the only team that the Caps prepare themselves mentally to play against.
Compared to the likely alternative (no hockey at all)...This is division only play. yes? Imagine a season without a single Caps v Penguins game

Looks like WSH, PIT, and PHI will be in the same division.

Who wants to bet they'll keep these after Rona's gone?
Why not? It saves money, it's regional, and it guarantees some Canadian teams in the playoffs.
They should do top 3 from each division and then the next 2 best winning percentages to get the top 8 teams for each side.

If the schedule is entirely inter division then crossing over thru the divisions for a better points percentage doesnt seem fair. What am I missing?
Meanwhile, shouldnt Ov have 20 goals by now?
Good point.
It just seems that they’ve created two strong divisions and two weaker ones.
yup. Caps Pens Flyers Bruins in one division? Yikes
It's going to be a bloodbath. Whoever falters at the start is going to have a really hard time making up ground. You could make an argument that all eight of these teams are playoff contenders.yup. Caps Pens Flyers Bruins in one division? Yikes

Buffalo brought in Taylor Hall and Eric Staal this offseason. The Rangers drafted Lafreniere. New Jersey seems improved, especially with Blackwood taking over the net full time. It's going to be tough sledding.Don’t forget Trotz and his Isles.
I think the Devils will be better this year but they still seem to be the weakest link... who on that team is going to score besides Palmieri? That depends entirely on what happens to the others. The Islanders are going to have to sack up quick. The Devils are looking at a first pick in the draft. They are going to be road kill
My goodness is that central division pathetic outside of TB and CAR.
East Coast Division is going to be a bloodbath
