OT: Capitals Cinema Club: TV and Movies

Just dropped $80 a month on Hulu live plus sports package to get Redzone and NBCsports Washington. Im such a sucker for my sports. Worth It
I believe I have that deal also. I'm sure I said it at the time but moving to washing caps game via hulu live versus the cox cable version of the channel is no contest quality-wise.

Got to see Top Gun: Maverick last night. Solid movie that does a good job of balancing out the nostalgia from the original movie with some new ideas. Obviously some plot holes with the actual combat portion but really enjoyed it and understand why it has done so well at the box office. It’s hard to believe Tom Cruise is 60 years old.
I wish they'd put it on a streaming service, when I discussed this elsewhere I was told to watch it in theaters for the "full experience". Pfft I want to watch it at home.

Right now it's 20 dollars on google play to watch it, pass

Ichi the Killer - surprised it took me this long to see it ... really good. Complex character development on some things Hollywood wouldnt touch (sexual gratification from violence)

Intentional over the top gore blood splatters

If you like Kill Bill, Sin City ... youd like this.

Takeshi Mike is the director and he has a ton of stuff Im going to have to check out

Great flick!

Haven’t seen that one but the Untold series in general is pretty fantastic. Just finished the one on Tim Donaghy which was super interesting and the ones about the Danbury Trashers hockey team and the Malice at the Palace brawl were awesome too.
It’s about 80% about his run up to the gold, so that part is amazing….last 10-15 a little cringy….

The Donaghy one is next for me. I can’t bring myself to watch the Teo episode yet…..sounds painful.

Malice in the Palace and Breaking Point (tennis) are my favorites so far. The Danbury one was almost unbelievable it was so crazy….

A lot of cool Star Wars stuff coming out, like Andor and Mandalorian Season 3.

However, this might be the coolest of them all. Check out young Count Dooku as a Jedi!

Finished Dahmer on Netflix… pretty crazy. After watching the Netflix specials on Dahmer, John Wayne Gacy, and Ted Bundy, who I think are the Mt Rushmore of serial killers, Dahmer was the least of the grotesquely evil. There was some real sadist shit with Gacy and Bundy that Dahmer didn’t possess. Gacy in particular was one sick f***.

I started it and the first episode is pretty gripping but I really wasn't a fan (in the moment) of going back in time for episode 2, got bored and ended up turning it off. Should I go back, is it worth it?
