Revenue split is 50-50 when things are reconciled at the end of the year. There is no way around that.Pretty much this, the other guy is just trying too hard.
Only thing that is slightly different is the league paid the players during the pandemic despite the hockey rev being short so they have been using the escrow to pay off that debt. Now the debt is paid off, there is no need to have an escrow because with the cap artificially low, hockey rev split is nowhere close to 50/50.
assuming he has family in the area, maybe he might be willing to wave for ColumbusCloser to Pittsburgh. JT played minor hockey in Pittsburgh.
Better idea, you send him to Pittsburgh instead. Win/win, everyone is happy!According to reports, the Canucks were looking at getting Adam Sýkora, Bo Groulx, and Jaroslav Chmelař. Sýkora is probably the best out of the bunch.
There are also rumors that the Canucks could receive Lafrenière and a 1st-round pick in the deal as well.
Let’s use this as a baseline.
RANGERS:
- Young player with potential: Lafrenière
- 1st-round draft pick: Late
- 2 C-rated prospects
- 1 B-rated prospect

Sounds suspiciously like a false flag.any truth to the NJ rumour?

It was Boeser in the kitchen with the undercooked chicken.Wow. Pete plays dirty
It’s not, if it’s 50-50 then the cap is going to be at 100+M. There is no way they are going to be that aggressive in getting it to 50-50 because the last thing the PA wants is to get it there and have things be thrashy and have escrow one year when rev is down and then no escrow another year when the rev goes back up.Revenue split is 50-50 when things are reconciled at the end of the year. The players pay a percentage of their salaries into escrow to assure a 50-50 split of hockey-related revenue between the players and the teams, as allotted under the NHL/NHLPA Collective Bargaining Agreement. It’s not, if it’s 50-50 then the cap is going to be at 100+M. This is so underwhelming. If we really have to trade Miller (obviously I don't want to), I hope we can just be smart about it.. keep him until a reasonable offer comes along. If we get rid of him now we can kiss the playoffs goodbye anyways so what is the big deal waiting a bitAccording to reports, the Canucks were looking at getting Adam Sýkora, Bo Groulx, and Jaroslav Chmelař. It’s always a 50/50 split. The players either pay in with that money or they get money back. But it’s always 50/50
league generated 6.3B last season, if it’s 50/50 then the cap would be 98.3 assuming revenue didn’t go up this year but considering the league is no longer subsidizing Arizona, it’s probably higher by a bit. Reports are saying the cap would be 97-98, so I don’t see how it’s going to be a 50-50 split. It’s going to take a couple years to get back to true 50-50.The players pay a percentage of their salaries into escrow to assure a 50-50 split of hockey-related revenue between the players and the teams, as allotted under the NHL/NHLPA Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Yeah the share didn’t change when the players were paying them back, but now we are entering a period where the money is paid back and they are trying to bring it back in line but from the looks of it they are doing that quite conservatively. The cap was frozen/ slowed due to circumstances. However, the share of revenue did not change.

Well apparently they are all paid off. From what I hear is they are purposely avoiding going to 50-50 because that would introduce a giant bump in cap and benefit the next UFA in a somewhat unfair way. The next class could gobble up away a ton of that cap increase and if the cap flatlines then the subsequent class is going to get boned. If they slowly get to 50-50 over like 3 seasons, then there is going to be an artificial growth in cap benefiting more players over that time period.I think it’s because players are still overpaying into Escrow to make up lost revenue. I am far from a capologist so someone more knowledgeable would need to explain. I just looked up the split.
