This has always been confusing, it seems there's a disconnect between the coaches and management on the player. I'm somewhat surprised they didn't move off him after seeing how Tocchet utilized him in the playoffs. He's always been fairly one-dimensional and seems to have settled into that area in terms of development. He's not a guy I'd think would suddenly "figure things out".

I doubt he's worth very much now given the contract and current state of play.
