I dont think EP cares at all that Allvin is swedish. More importantly Allvin is savy as f*** and has performed incredibly well in his short time with the Nucks.

This. JT Miller looks like an absolute steal at the moment and this is a big part of it.

Nathan MacKinnon was a prime example of this, too.

MacKinnon was a 20 goal ~60 point player when he signed his 6 mil contract.

I would not doubt as the end of the season comes closer there will be another 8 year 14 million dollar rumour. Marketing would suggest this is almost guaranteed to happen.

The reason is that the team that gets the best player usually wins the trade and Allvin/Rutherford do not want blame put on the team.
So they change the story to EP being greedy as much as possible because most fans just see something on the ice and not the desires of those on the ice. Servitude or indenture has been the status quo for decades now and institutionalized into the CBA.

Seravalli can speculate all he wants, even if the numbers are correct but this is a just rehash an older rumors for click bait.

Well one thing he might have achieved was getting Pettersson to chat with IMac where Pettersson said;

This might be a defensive statement from EP suggested by his agent as some of these "experts" are now negotiating and putting his client in a bad light.
Almost like Seravalli is trying to resurrect the Dubois circus or just Seravalli trying to get on the good side of management.

We can blame the player, but ultimately the 2021 year was massively screwed up by the previous regime.
