Keep Hronek & MP3, trade bambi and Demko, or both goalies.
Acquire Merzlikins, Montembeault, cossa, wallstedt, Ullmark, etc somehow, wait for waivers/opportunity.
 
Canucks really need to take advantage of the current lack of talent available in the NHL. Need to be trading some of Debrusk, Elias Pettersson (C), Boeser, O’Connor, Hronek and Marcus Pettersson. I wouldn’t trade all of them, obviously, but all should be made available so management can see which players are valued most league wide, and which players are willing to waive and where. This is a great opportunity to shed long term contracts and add picks.

Good grief i know Debrusk has pissed a lot of fans off including myself for the inconsistent play and then last years pout/quit job but he's still a top 2 line LW who has a track record of scoring in playoffs has the wheels to be able to produce throughout his contract plus be durable a good guy within a room and an excellent PP net front guy

Nichushkin for the last 3yrs has been a burden to what the Avs are trying to accomplish and was abolished to the 4th line and 8min of ice time by the end of the Vegas series.

For COL swapping Nuke for Debrusk to get more certainty and reliability for when it matters would be a smart move. The p/60 production is a small part of the equation and VN's contract is looking like a burden going forward.

For us that would be a disaster move. Nuke is not gonna want to be here and he's already shown to be problematic in terms of conduct leadership and reliability which is what we are trying to change going forward. He's not getting a better return either from a contender.

With valuations going the way they are that has become less common but with how bad this team has been for so long I wonder if they feel like they need to (particularly if they are bringing in a minority shareholder).

I wonder how financially stretched the development company (and by extension the family) is? The (Real Estate) market, particularly condos, has been in trouble for a while and it's now at the point where the Federal Government is coming in to bail out the developers. $3000MM+ to convert unsold luxury condos into "affordable housing". The murderous f***ing rage that wells up inside me at the thought of this family benefitting from a taxpayer funded bailout......

I know it would leave a massive hole on defense but if Hronek could land us the 4th overall pick I would highly consider trading him to Chicago. Would be nice to have two top picks in the top 10. Two of Malhotra, Reid, Stenberg, Carels would be nice.

Trade DeBrusk, Pettersson, M.Pettersson, whoever and load up on picks.

Sign free veteran players with character to teach the younger lads, Schenn, Stecher or Jenner.

Going to suck for awhile but maybe next year we could land another top 3 pick in a very strong draft.

Perfetti is and odd target and would be more of a “retool on the fly” add.

I went back to take a look and last year there were maybe 4-6 meaningful trades in June (trades involving players).

Would guess we are looking at something similar and last year the trades started during draft week so Monday to Wednesday I’d expect some movement to begin.

It’s not. Buium doesn’t have the same value he had last summer. Carels projects to be a strong two way defender, not necessarily a PP quarterback. Neither is Byram. So the Canucks have no long term offensive dman now.

Which centre are you getting for Buium? McTavish?
