I know it feels like we are missing the boat with these players signing everywhere but Vancouver — but some of these deals look an awful lot like the Loui Eriksson, James Neal, Milan Lucic, and Andrew Ladd deals of the past.

This isn't the Jim Benning we-ran-out-of-time off-season. They already took care of Joshua, Myers, and Blueger. They can return the same team they started last season with. And that team was pretty damn okay. And now they have the cap-space to make other improvements throughout the year.

Nashville overpaying but if they get both stamkos and marchessault, also stephenson, they could win their division and be tough to beat in the playoffs

For those calling the front office asleep, what deals that have been signed would you have realistically wanted here?

Marchessault is the only debatable one imo, and even that has significant term risk, and the fact that he's 34 means he could drop off at any given moment as he's got a lot of miles on that body with so many playoff runs.

Also did not have Lafferty getting more money than Blueger on my bingo card.
