Friedman linking absolutely no one to Vancouver.

Because there is no one linked to Vancouver. Got that from Drance and Dhaliwal’s article yesterday. Feels like the good old days, have cap space but basically not even a whiff of a rumour to entertain you on July 1.

Being patient today is not a bad thing. There are trade targets with reasonable sized cap hits (Necas tops the list). Once teams are capped out then an opportunity to add someone at a reasonable cost may materialize.

I’m happy if we land Toffoli and Tanev today. The room will be happy and we’ll definitely be better.
Toffoli plays the game like Rich Tocchet. Grity, skilled, offensive, fearless, 100% every shift, granted, hes not as fast as prime Rich, and Toffoli this time is around is a 33.

He had chemistry with Pettersson and he’ll help our PP.

It’s a no brainer for me

Carolina will probably try to mend things with Necas. They are about to lose like all their UFAs it looks like. At least we aren’t watching Guentzel, Skjei, Teräväinen and Pesce walk out the door. That is brutal.
