Jack Hughes is very talented but he looks to be made of glass. I doubt that NJ would ever trade him 1v1 for Skinny but you've got to wonder if his career won't be derailed by injuries. This season he got injured again after 62 games.

Also if Rantanen is struggling to produce in Carolina away from MacKinnon, why do they think he would produce well here without any 1st line centres?

And this doesn't even account for the fact he's an upcoming UFA and will be asking for a king's ransom, or if he's even willing to sign here...once again without a 1st line centre...
