This brings me back to that dark moment when Dimbo failed to trade Hamhuis at the deadline.....

Sadness..........

Man some of you guys just doom no matter what happens. We already got more for Soucy than Hamhuis, and Soucy isn't nearly as good as Hamhuis was. That team had zero shot at the playoffs, this team is competing for one.

You don't just sell sell sell every time you're close to the playoffs, it sends a terrible message to your captain and franchise player when you do that. If you find a deal that makes sense, sure, but Boeser for a first that will play in 3+ years from now isn't it unless you can flip it.

so beauvillier went for the pick immediately before the one we got for soucy.

i'd have been pretty mad if we traded them for each other.

Canucks mouthpieces saying we can't get a first for Boeser to soften the blow when the deadline blows by and we are stuck with our dick in our hands here..........

Damn meddling owner again...........wants his playoff revenue.........efff

This team sucks.

And if mgmt doesn’t do something drastic, Hughes is gone eventually.

Status quo won’t get it done.

I think thats what most of us want. The picks to flip in to an asset that fits this core better than Brock does or address needs.

Example: McCann

The MO for this management group has never been to throwaway a season. They are not going to sell Boeser, Suter and Blueger unless they can workout another deal to bring in a piece that can help us out now.

You illustrated my point EXACTLY HERE........prices being paid right now are VERY STEEP. It's pretty clear we need some extra firepower up front to compete (the ave's would skate circles around us). That ain't happening this year.

Sell some assets now for draft picks when the price of them is highest...........Then flog those assets come draft time when draft picks are valued the highest..........WHAT IS SOO HARD ABOUT THIS?

Or would you rather see us get bounced in the first round and lose Boeser for nothing?

Unless Demko comes back and goes into God mode we ain't going anywhere this year........this is not the year to try to squeeze out 2 or 3 playoff home games..........

I can already here the excuses:

“Deals just weren’t there”

“Other players held up the market”

What’s the point of accumulating so much space if you aren’t going to use it?

At the very least Forbort and Suter........Might as well give Raty a look here - with the assets from those 2 plus the 3rd we got from NYR we are getting close in the offseason to be able to use those to getting a decent piece back......

I could even live with keeping Boeser (he's been a loyal Nuck now and I could see him deserving to stay) but in this market it's just not responsible to not sell whatever we can.........
