This is what they will have to compete against to get into the playoffs.
These are great, thanks for doing them. Do you use AI or anything or do you just listen and type?

Those numbers are ridiculously low, brocks next contract is starting with an eight. If Boeser's term demand lowers his AAV to mid-low 7s or even high 6s, they should re-sign him. Sticking to a 3-4 year max term is a mistake. They have to get to 6 years at least.
The rising cap and the fact that he's pacing 31 goals even now means he is the most efficient option. All while being a good teammate.
Get it done Allvin.
I'm convinced Vector is AI.
Is the dressing room that fractured that the players didn't realize that is was Karlsson's first career goal? It seems as if that is something teammates really are on top off normally.
This person was at the game apparently and mentions they did react. I wonder if Bukauskas is just talking about the whole no one grabbing the puck debacle.
Also apparently a pic of them at the game:

Technically, I see us as a big market, small market team. The penalties accrued from the Gillis/Benning regimes have hindered us the past 5 years which makes us have to manage the cap as a small market team would.
I kind of like that, but there will be huge turnover in doing so with your 'foot soldier' players...Suter, Blueger, the ever revolving 4th line, Desharnais, Forbort. All those guys are the heartbeat of the team, because our stars refuse to do the things these guys just do. Keep shifts short, making good line changes, hustling to the bench, moving their feet constantly, and communicate as well.
The way forward will be littered with these veteran reclamation projects and bargain bin finds. The first year went TOO well this way and priced some guys into weird contracts like Hronek, Joshua, Hoglander, and the weirdest one for me which was Heinen. We had a plan last year that worked so well Allvin might've flown a bit close to the sun.
Local kid, so you love the guy to death but he just has no place on this team with Hoglander firing at all cylinders. I don't think Allvin counted on that. Every team needs a maverick, but you know what? I think Hoglander can help Pettersson. Every time they get time together, it looks clunky but then they put together some great shifts. That line needs a second Brock Boeser to slow things down for Pettersson because Hoglander is a great player, but he does have the 'being chased by bees' syndrome and we need someone to reign the chaos in and be able to take some abuse to hold on to the puck for a bit longer to find Pettersson some space.
Just my $0.02.
One of the announcers pointed it out but I remember Hoggy having a huge smile on his face when he was skating towards Karlsson and Pettersson did as well.Yeah, he's specifically talking about on the ice and not getting the puck. I didn't even notice it and really don't think it's a big deal.
It’s truly pathetic. Clearly is a problem too. Good reason I’d have zero issue dealing both, just embarrassing.Grown ass adults acting like school yard toddlers. I work in a major org with folks I don’t get along with. It’s part of the job— you act professional and get the work done. You don’t have to be best of friends or otherwise. It’s infuriating that it’s gotten to this point as this team is better off keeping both then trading them.
113M cap lol
Quinn's cap hit is going to be like 17M which is totally fine, he can have whatever money he wants.
But realistically, yeah there are going to be like 10+ teams not ever spending over 100M and there are going to be a lot of caproom around for everyone and hoarding cap is not going to be that useful. It's going to take awhile for folks to get used to that what "arming yourself with cap" is no longer going to be as true.
He's in the real estate market in Vancouver, that's a massive competitive advantage vs the other Canadian teams.
We have a great thing going for us right now. Vancouver is only a quasi-Canadian market with the correct ownership. Whether we have that or not is up for debate.
