Canucks & NHL News, Rumours, and & Fantasy GM | LOOKS LIKE GRUB IS BACK ON THE MENU, BOYS!

That link references Daily FaceOff where Seravelli says:

"Likewise, Miller seems to have reached a point where he is ready to move on from the Canucks."

I don't know how you read that, but I see that as him wanting to go. In any case, "he is ready to go" is a lot different than "he's willing to stay if Pettersson goes".

The timing of this conflicting information is highly suspect.
“Ready to move on” is not the same as “wants to move on”.

“Ready to move on” is not the same as “wants to move on”.

Canucks Daily makes the same inference I have:

"Frank Seravalli revealed that J.T. Miller has reached the point where he's wanting to move on from the Vancouver Canucks and the team's feeling is mutual on the matter."

But hey, you're free to believe that it's still a conditional acceptance after the LOA and him willing to talk to other teams. He can just as easily shut it down and enforce his NTC if really wants to stay.

Does that site have any legitimacy as it looks like a bunch of recap stuff with eye gouging headlines

The less Seravelli is quoted, the better. He's a f***ing idiot.

It's reasonable to assume Miller has been in trade talks, and it's also reasonable to assume he'd say yes to the right destination. He's been treated terribly here, and I wouldn't blame him. It's an unfortunate symptom of being a key piece of any Canucks team not playing well. Having said that, I think the idea that "he wants to move on" is hyperbole, like so many other hot takes from the Van media and fanbase.

People don’t want to treat players like human beings. When you are being talked about how you’re the problem, your GM almost trades you, you feel like you’re not wanted.

A reasonable response is to go somewhere you are appreciated. Or to want it to end.

People have decided where they stand on Miller, there’s no point trying to convince them otherwise.

i don't think you can infer anything from sevarelli using a vague cliche to describe miller's putative headspace. he has a lot of airtime to fill and a lot of off the cuff remarks pass his lips without the benefit of an editor or a pause for reflection.

Ignore all of Seravelli, Friedman, Dhaliwal, IMac, Canucks Daily et al. Who all have come to the same reasonable assertion. As well as the LOA itself, the history of Miller here (re: Horvat, Schenn, Delia), Miller talking trade with other teams, him not thanking Tocchet/Management when he returned etc... Ignore it all.

As Friedman says "no formal trade request but considers this semantics." If you want the formal trade request leaked, you may never get it.

Completely false. All he has to do is ask to stay and amend his ways. You would get people onboard easily.

Boys please remove this damn thread, I survived. I'm already in remission and the doctors said early this month that the prognosis is good. So remove this shit, back here and so forever grateful. I'd lost faith but the doctors in Singapore did a damn good job. They've send me home with the medicine, couldn't die on my kids. So still kicking, hopefully I make a full recovery and will be healthy forever. What a terrible experience it felt like I was dreaming, but I never gave up.

Go Canucks go!
Yes! Let this be an omen!!!!

Great to have you back, G.

Ok i will continue to expect nothing and hope the teams win games

I believe there is a lot mpre context to this underneath that these blowhards will never know or that we know.

I think the LOA was important on so many levels. I really hope in the next month we're going to see what that leave of absence really did in the background

Honestly can we just resign Lankinen?
He wasn’t even that good tonight the Canucks gave up 4 higher danger chances all game. We just need someone average in net. Just make the saves you should, I get the bar is low. Our other two goalies are bottom 10 in goals saved about average. Lankinen is 23rd not gonna rush out and sign him to a long term contract.

Felt like we gave up more than 4 high danger chances
