Buyout Period: June 27th, evening; players without NMCs must be placed on unconditional waivers 24 hours prior (another buyout period opens if a team has a player file for arbitration). This buyout period ends June 30th. 8:00pm.

If they miss the big guys I’m more interested in the more expensive right-side defender options. Somewhat ambivalent on the remaining forwards, a bunch of guys probably in the $4-$5M range that could fit.

Zadorov signs with Edmonton? For 4.5 mil X 7. Now that would be a nightmare. Talk about a motivated opponent.

Well, if they already had talks with tanev and Dillon, that might be there preferred option, especially if guentzel might not be an option

Maybe if we lose out on JG there's a thought of Stephenson for the Miller line and Toffoli for the EP line? Drop Suter to the third line and Blueger to the 4th? That is pretty balanced. and leaves room to improve the blueline some more as well.

Best suited as a #5 defenseman that looked superb in one playoff run.

You can pay him term and cap but it's incredibly risky given his history. Other teams have the luxury or throwing those sort of darts (high cap hit or less expectations).

Reminds me of how Myers got overrated while being a decent #5 dman in Winnipeg and getting a stupid 6 x 6 special.

I’m incredibly salty and annoyed that we kept myers over zadorov.

I would easily give zadorov the extra 1m he wanted.

The only way this makes any sense is if we actually get a STAR top 6 F and someone like dillion

If Zadorov wanted close to $5M AAV I don’t blame them, you can get a guy on the left side to play 17ish minutes for cheaper (see: Soucy). Need that cap space elsewhere.
