Seeing what Nyquist and Lindgren returned, I'd definitely be looking at moving guys like Boeser, Suter, and Soucy. It's a seller's market.

allvin cannot have on his resume inheriting three all star centers and ending up with (for the sake of argument) an expansion draft-level 1-2 punch of cozens and chytil, and a killer middle d pair.

perception-wise, it would milbury-esque.

going from horvat, pettersson and miller at c to chytil, suter and someone like mittelstadt, tavares or cozens wouldn't just be bad perception wise it would be catastrophic competition wise. i think hronek and marcus pettersson have really solidified the defense around hughes and raised the floor so that it's at least possible to see the blueline being stanley cup calibre but it's been at the expense of completely gutting the forward group. whether pettersson is cooked or not this management group really has no choice but to bet on him rebounding otherwise they've just squandered another opportunity to build a competitive team

Should be shopping Hronek or M.Pettersson plus any and all of Suter Blueger Soucy Forbort O'Connor Hoglander plus any prospects not named below in a deal to get Cozens or even Mercer Sillinger Kulich Ostlund (obviously the 2nd group after Cozens i'm not including Hronek)

I think there’s a case to be made after todays trades that soucy is worth as much as a 2nd and suter is also worth as much as a 2nd.

Not sure we’d trade suter but starting to get a feel for market prices with todays deals.

the premise has to be to try and replace Miller's impact and improve upon Suter at the same time.

It's the only way you can lessen skinny Petes load get the most from him and get value for Boeser for the next few years

everything else screams desperation for playoffs to then get our asses handed to us plus more wasted assets away from the thing that would impact our roster the most

I don't think theyve got the guts to do anything before tdl, they've had tons of opportunities.
I do think he's gone before nmc, possibly more due to fear than desire.
