I think management views Lekkerimaki as untouchable so highly doubt he’s included in any trade anyway.
I personally don’t think Travis Green has that kind of say to overpower the GM on personnel decisions.Heard Drance say this as well. It's weird because there's the rumour that OTT has been trying to trade him? Making it seem like he would be a cap dump.
Or, maybe they just want to trade him for a similar asset to get out from under his deal?
His usage does suggest Green favours him.

If Ott was smart they’d dump Norris to open up cap, which is what they reportedly have been trying to do all year.
Hoglander + Soucy for Norris![]()
Lets get crazy…I just heard Friedman say that OTT has been after Brayden Schenn....
Bring a centre in, trade one out. Lines up pretty well.
with two full shoulders yeahNorris is a clear upgrade on Chytil.
For wing, I can see Nyquist. Greenway and Olivier would likely cost more than is reasonable.
I would trade Lek for Tuch yes. But I’m also not pencilling Lek into the NHL roster next year.Norris is a clear upgrade on Chytil.

They have to put Hoglander back in the top6.
You would trade Lekkerimaki for 1 year of Tuch?
If the assumption is that he gets re-signed, does he take the same discount here as Boeser would? If not, there's very little surplus value gained and a top2 prospect is lost...
I don't mind the idea of trading for pure rental players. That's why Gustav Nyquist does sound like a good option to me. Nyquist has skills and experience to help out going forward. The best part he is on a expiring contract.
Cap space is the most valuable asset to have going forward. It will allow Allvin to go big game hunting on July 1st. The Nucks haven't had cap space in years so expiring contracts that can help out short term would be best going forward.
Size is a concern. He weighs the same weight as the average American woman. The Canucks have to start to draft skill and size. Boldy was the recent one who got awayI don't know why everyone is packaging Lekk... he's going to be our Boeser replacement.

But why would Anaheim want to move him, and even if they did, why would they want to move him for futures. I get a potential Pettersson and McTavish swap, but not a futures one.Mason McTavish is their guy they should be targeting and should also include any one of our prospects for. Willander would be on the table for that move, he’s young and the exact type of player we need.

Distance covered is a bit misleading imo. It’s skewed on bad teams if youre a forward unless its McDavid/puck moving D like Werenski/Hughes/MakarI would much rather pay the premium for Tuch (Lekk or a 1st) than rent Greenway.
Tuch has size and skates. He is among the top in the league for distance covered and has decent speed too. He would be a great fit alongside Pettersson.
This team generally needs to get bigger up front and exchanging one of our diminutive skilled forwards for a large power forward should be a no brainer.
That being said. No interest in Greenway. He has size but barely covers the ice with hardly any speed. He would be a 4th line plug on this team.
Id still take the size/skill of Boldy over Caufield.Caufield is better than Boldy and he went afterwards.
That was a terrible pick by Vancouver though
It’s rare, but it’s also extremely risky.Id still take the size/skill of Boldy over Caufield.
Caufield or players like him are the exception and not the norm. A 5'8 winger is who can score is extremely rare.
