The only way the Canucks could afford an extension for him is if he takes a massive discount on the price he's rumored to be asking for, so I'm not very worried about that.

The fact that he reportedly turned down 8 x 9 million is crazy if true. The highest I would go with the cap going up is 7 x 7.75 would probably try to get as close to 7 x 7 as possible.
