I would try for Guentzel first, but if the price is too high I would try and acquire Toffoli. He’s been in here before, chemistry would work. He’s also very good on PP 1

Also really excited to see Podkolzin.

I think something like Mikheyev for Greenway might be something they’d entertain if they had another deal to bring in a top six forward, which was the role they had envisioned for Mikheyev.

I don’t care about speed Toffoli is much better player than Mantha. Mantha basically Mik but a little bigger and is shooting over 20%. Tocchet will bench him and if goes cold he is useless.

Really feels like they're about to possibly overpay for Guentzel. Too many signs imo.
They seem to want him and have for awhile being familiar, obviously with extension.
Idk how it can be more than JT so I'd say 7x7 if lucky, maybe 6x8M, hopefully not too much more than 50M total.

Mik and Pod for sure, Raty and 1st is my best guess.

Mantha is basically what Benoit Pouliot used to be. Apparently has everything you want in a hockey player, but you die waiting for him to put it all together and sustain good play for a season. Hard pass.

This is the type of player I can see us targeting. I've always liked him. Hasn't been overly great this year as he only has 26 points, but 17 of those are goals. At 215 pounds and with a Cup ring under his belt he might be a good player to pair with Petey ... although a better playmaker would be nice. It's a shame Lindholm is taking awhile to acclimate. His lack of production makes the TDL tricky for good old Allvin and JR. I'd say Saad is worth maybe a 3rd or a second ... we only have our 2024 3rd, and only our 2025 1st, and 2nd. No third in 2025.

Well after all of that I looked at his contract. $4.5 mil for another 2 years after this. No way we can do that. My earlier choice was Monahan, he's looking way better than Lindholm at this point. We need a player that's comfortable playing in the trenches and can put the puck in the back of the net.

sadd would be the perfect player to play alongside petey can score in close and bang in those loose rebounds.

Necas, Jarvis, Nikishin and a 1st would absolutely get the attention of mgmt and for sure would make them go to EP and his team to see if a contract can get done.

Or he’s gone.

You would get Necas and Jarvis who could contribute immediately.

Nikishin is an A+ defensive prospect who who match amazing with Willander.

1st recoups a draft pick lost in the Lindholm deal. It also could be used in a subsequent deal.
