These two teams meet again on Thursday in Edmonton. 0% chance McDavid is suspended for that game. Refs will be out in full force giving Edmonton special treatment as usual.

Both McDavid and Myers should be getting a call and suspension. Soucy was the least worst of the 3 and he got 1 game in the PO.

If that was Miller’s swan song (or one of his last), it was a damn good one.

I won’t be shocked at all if McDavid gets nothing / a warning while Myers gets games. But it is what it is with the NHL at this stage.

I thought in the second we were starting to sag, but came back with an excellent defensive third period. Now if only they could string together a few games like that in a row.

It was totally fine for the most part other than the blatant neck-spear by McDavid on Hronek at the end of the 2nd period getting missed.

I can see the Oilers having beef with the Canucks' third goal. I would have been annoyed if the shoe was on the other foot.

But I was shocked – in a good way – when the Oilers didn't get a slew of power plays at the end to even out the numbers (and manufacture drama) as per the conventions of game management. And in fact the Canucks got a late PP, which flies in the face of them too. It was refreshing.

He’s still too weak on his skates and can’t stay on his feet, especially when playing in front of the net

He also looks like he’s totally out of sync with his line mates. Petey can forecheck and win board battles, he needs line mates that will play off him to find the space. There were a couple plays today where he made a pass to space and nobody was there
