Satiar Shah Sporstnet 650 confirms that the Canucks are heavily looking at waiver wire to add a RD and 4C.

Brandon Sutter "fatigue" injury must be more serious than expected.

Shah also said the Canucks are open to improving their bottom 6 wingers as well if a player is made available on waivers they like.

Shah mentioned but the biggest position the Canucks are looking at is improving their RD which currently has Myers, Poolman, Schenn, Burroughs.

Something to keep in mind if your team is going to place a player on waivers. Canucks will snag them if they are RD or C.

Shah is very connected to the team, I believe he wa the first to report the contract extension figures for Hughes last week.

Its unsure how much cap space the Canucks exactly have as any games missed by Hamonic will not count against the cap.

Roland McKeown is on waivers. He looked really bad against Vegas last night though, with a -3. First game for him after illness though, in preseason, and on a new team though, so probably too early to make conclusions.

Noah Juulsen is being called up for FLA tomorrow when they play TB again.
He needs to clear waivers before regular season starts. He's a BC guy.

He's a RD but can't stay healthy...like ever. Has some decent skill/pedigree but at 24 and only 48 total NHL games played, this is a crucial year for him to prove he can be a consistent NHLer one day, it won't be with FLA

Juulsen cleared waivers earlier in the week

If they are looking for some centre depth, maybe Connor Bunnaman may be of interest. I believe he was placed on waivers by Philly today.

Sometimes players go unclaimed only to be traded a couple days later.
Relates to cap implications.
The topic implies the Canucks are looking to claim a player off waivers. By all means interpret that as using waivers as an indicator of players who are available via trade , but that’s not how I read it
