Rumor: Canucks have taken Elias Pettersson EP40 off the trade market

If they did that, we'd pretty much have to go all in on Marner this summer or Hughes will walk.
 
This is why it's so hard to make money trading stocks. It's completely unknown why petterson is now a .6ppg player as opposed to a 1.1ppg player. It's a really weird drop right after he signed a big contract. If you sell him now you look like a genius if he keeps sliding, and you look like a fool if he scores 100 points next year. No move clause kicking in soon. Smartest move seems to be give him until the end of the season to see what he's up to. If he continues to suck trade him before July 1 for whatever you can get.

The current Pettersson is not worth nearly that much, the guy just fell and can't get up, and we don't know what the problem is.

I'm not giving Kulich a Sabres first and Cozens. Cozens, 2025 Conditional first (not top 10) and Rosen, or if a D prospect if wanted

What team would even risk targeting him now. Not only the cap hit, but alleged character issues on top of everything... I think even Buffalo got cold feet on EEEPEE FORTY.

They were saying similar things about Eichel BUF should have just waited for Eichel to recover.

Pettersson has tendinitis in his knee, since last year, not sure how that projects to affect his future but I know the Canucks fan base, including myself, are impatient.

So essentially, I think I’m an idiot because I wish the Canucks traded for the injured and questionable Eichel while also wanting us to move on from the injured questionable Pettersson.

Will concede on the condition. Seems we’re just discussing Kulich vs Rosen. Between those two, Helenius, and Ostlund can be jiggled between the conditions on the 1st (is it top 10 protected for 2025 only, do the Canucks get a pick if it moves to a later year?) and potentially other picks being moved around.

If I’m the Canucks, I probably stick to my guns on Kulich but offer to accept top 15 protection and add a 4th or something.
 
I could see a deal revisited in the summer with Buffalo. I think Vancouver fans would be disappointed in the return.

EP is not what he used to be. His speed and skating isn't as good before the tendonitis and the stats support that.
