Rumor: Canucks have taken Elias Pettersson EP40 off the trade market

From a strictly Canuck fan standpoint would you trade Pettersson for Cole Perfetti straight up?

This year Perfetti has played 7 more games and has one more point.

Pettersson has 3 more years @$11.6.

Perfetti one more year at $3.25 then RFA.

Pettersson has shown to have a higher ceiling.

Perfetti still has plenty of room to grow and Canucks receive more cap space to add to the roster.

No Jets fan input needed, it doesn’t make a lot of sense for them because of the cap obviously it costs the Jets more than just Perfetti.

If they did that, we'd pretty much have to go all in on Marner this summer or Hughes will walk.

This is why it's so hard to make money trading stocks. It's completely unknown why petterson is now a .6ppg player as opposed to a 1.1ppg player. It's a really weird drop right after he signed a big contract. If you sell him now you look like a genius if he keeps sliding, and you look like a fool if he scores 100 points next year. No move clause kicking in soon. Smartest move seems to be give him until the end of the season to see what he's up to. If he continues to suck trade him before July 1 for whatever you can get.
