Jesse Pierce (Wild reporter) pretty much corroborated that Rossi is shorter than 5’9” recently on Judd’s Hockey Show.
Hockey heights are like basketball player heights, it’s with skates/shoes on. They just don’t admit that publicly. Well the nba did a couple years ago

Rossi is 5’9 with skates on is the probable answer

I am not sure you are following the many transactions during the Rutherford regime but after overpaying for the "Tiny but Perfect" Marco Rossi, Rutherford will then need to sign him at a rumoured 7MX7.

This is definitely a Canucks-type move.

Guerin's opus.

Please provide a complete list of CENTRES that are 5'9" or below that have thrived in the NHL playoffs in the past 10 years.

I am waiting.

Still waiting.

I can only find 2: Gourde and Johnson playing on the same team.

And these 2 were surrounded by HHOF players, playing up the lineup.

If they really want to win the Cup, maybe the Canucks should acquire some HHOF players before acquiring 5'9" centres...
What's the population of 5'9" centers over the past 10 years?

What would this have to do with Rossi?

Surely you wouldn't be implying that just because something hasn't been done yet, it can't ever happen, right?

7x7 is a steal for a sixty point #2C that plays a dirty game.

Why did Rossi only average 11 minutes a game in the playoffs?
Wild don't have trust in him. They tend to give me a shorter leash than his teammates (fair or unfair, its a fact).

It was his first playoffs so he showed a bit off that inexperience and Ryan Hartman really turned up. REALLY heated up.

So that shifted him down to the bottom 2 lines and he elevated Trenin/Brazeau's game so Hynes didn't want to change that. Not the best reason though, as our 3rd line of Gaudrea/Nyquist weren't doing anything. Rossi should have been playing 3rd line minutes.

IMO he's very much like Mikael Granlund, who was another young productive centerman we traded to avoid giving them their big pay day. He's going to be a good 2C, smart both ends of the ice, playmaker, plays bigger than he is. But his size will keep him from being a true 1C. Granlund is still a very useful and valuable player.

What are the Canucks even doing? Are they trying to build the softest forward group in the league? Pettersson is already butter soft, now they want Rossi. Signing Marner next?
