My guess is Miller wants to win and wants Pettersson to play harder in the trenches but that's not really his game. I always respected Millers game on the ice but is he a true leader? Not sure about that part. Sometimes, the season just don't play out like you would expect and true character comes out. Or frustration... call it what you wish.
I don't doubt that it's coming from a place of competitiveness. The questions is whether or not he's capable of expressing it in a useful way.
In a sport where Miller's type of attitude is usually celebrated and anything else is generaly seen as weak or soft, for another player to tell him that he's going too far, he must really be going too far.
