This is why you don't sign franchise players under threat of trade. If you already are down that road, you have to pull the trigger because the relationship is never going to work after that.

Their original offer was Necas, Kotkaniemi, significant prospect rumored to be Scott Morrow or Felix Unger Sorum, and a 1st, and it almost worked. If the Canes are bold, they'll offer it again even with Necas's amazing start to the year.
