He could. Neither goalie has really stepped up so it’s a toss-up, I’m just guessing that Delia vs former team could be a tiebreaker but then again it looks like another ex-Hawk Riley Stillman is going to be sitting out so I don’t think it’s a big factor, if at all.

This season was lost back in November, so I'm okay with losing games 1-2, 2-3, which means our defensive game has improved. Just stay in the bottom 5-7 for a slim chance at Bedard, because as usual, we'll drop 2 places anyway.

Embarrassing confession:

Back in the fall there was a poll here to pick where the Canucks would finish this season. I picked them to finish 2nd in the division - IF they signed Miller.

Big opportunity for a few younger guys tonight.

Lots of talk about Studnicka being up with Horvat/Boeser. I've liked Studnicka's game recently and am interested how he does with this opportunity. I think he's fast, can forecheck, and has shown some things in transition. Now it's only really been flashes, but maybe with some more talented players he can put it together. Would like to see him on the PK.

Delia probably has a couple more chances here to secure that backup job for the rest of the season when Demko comes back. Not sure the team would be willing to waive Martin down to Abbotsford.. but they probably should based on what we've seen.

Last two for me are the Dermott-Burroughs pairing. Two free agents this off-season, I think both guys need to show something here down the stretch. Burroughs has been awful lately but maybe a fresh start with a new coach and playing back on the right side can lead to a better performance.

He is one of mi favourites and I do hope he becomes a Toronto help coach in the future. I even predict that. But mr tocchet is the real deal. He is one ironman.

I am not a proponent of tanking, but it is in the best interest of the organization to not win...They can do a quick reset this off season, and be better prepared/stronger for the next.
