On the other hand perhaps it restores some value to some players making it possible to move them or to move them for more at the deadline.

On the other hand perhaps it restores some value to the next seasons playoff hopes making it possible for FAQ to meddle and keep the gang together at all costs.

That’s a good point, thank you. Plenty of time for the Tank to improve

This PP could be more dynamics and unpredictable. Despite Petey being somewhat useless/predictable the quality of guys on the PP makes it work instead of the structure. Watching all the other top PP teams in the league it's just night and day.

If we got a better PP coach then maybe I make that decision. As it is, even with the warts it's been mostly successful all year.
He's predictable, but he's playing within a predictable system. Other the Miller skating in huge circles it's a static setup. Pettersson is also fantastic at puck retrieval.

I dont get how people on this baord think the team is bad enough to finish bottom 5. Like just look at the roster and its still in the 7-15 range. It will never be in the same likes of Chicago, Arizona, Anahiem. and the difference between the chances of winning the 1st overall pick is like 5%

Damn I guess whatever I throw at you bounces off and sticks to me like glue

How can you look at his drafting record and say with a straight face "No! Gillis' drafting didn't suck. The Canucks were just good then so he had to pick late in every round. You have to think of the context!!!"?

It's bizarre dude. By any objective measure, Gillis' drafting sucked. It's okay to admit. I liked him too and think he's easily the best GM we've ever had and give him credit for building a contender. It is what it is.

Anyway, moving on.

If we keep up this winning I think I’m out till the draft. I can’t watch this playing garbage teams and winning touted as some big success by the team.

I don’t know much about Anaheim..but you’re right..This Chicago team is specifically built to lose..
