Those weren't the toughest guys in the league and Sestito didn't look great in any of those 3 fights. He also didn't look great in the fight with Kassian. I'll admit that I don't know too much about him except that he looks game enough to drop the gloves regularly.. I guess we'll see.

He seems to fall over alot in most his fights haha I was impressed he stayed on his feet for 2 of those 3 in that video. Regaurdless if he wins or not hill be a willing dance partner for pretty much anyone in the league that in it self deserves some respect.

good enough to take Sestitio's spot when healthy?

Based on what Gillis has been preaching about 4th liners being able to play 10 minutes a night I think Pinizzotto would be preferred.

Tom Sestito on being claimed off waivers by the #Canucks: "I was ecstatic. I was surprised because I had heard rumours about Edmonton."

I like him already:laugh:

Endearing himself to the fanbase already I see!

Seriously though, LOL.

We have so many jokesters. Ballard, Bieksa, Kesler, Burrows, Schneider, Luongo and Lapierre. Now Sestito. :yo:

they need grit in their top 6, not more fourth line goon type players

Top six players with grit are rare. Every team can use that type of player.
I think they could use someone who's willing to drop the gloves to protect teammates and to initiate physical play. Eager hasn't fought since his concussion from kassian. Their last fight was by Sam gagner

Hopefully he lights a fire under Kassian's ass.

Never thought about it, but it's a good point.

Will be good for Kassian to have a similar-sized dude around that knows how to use his size well.

I just have a good feeling about these two on the same team for some reason.

I don't think they feel like he's all that effective in any area of the game and thus, they have him playing in the farm. I can't say I disagree.
Apparently, tambellini put a claim in for volpatti when he got waived so I'm guessing that he feels that volpatti is a better player than sestito

Haven't seen much of Sestito but like the move for 2 reasons. It seems most Flyer fans are disappointed they lost him and his production at lower levels. Even if Sestito can't produce at the NHL level at least he has the hands to move the puck around the ice.

Should take a bit of pressure off Kassian as well having another bonafide heavyweight on the ice.
