Would have preferred Wandell, but this guy should fit in on the 4th line.

Flyers fan. I think Sestito is a nice pick up especially if you have to go through LA (Clifford, Nolan, King) in a cup run. I think CHI will add tough guy too.
Good 4th liner, hits like a train, skates well, decent hands but had some bad luck with injuries when he had a couple of shots and couldn't get ahead of Rinaldo.

Just look at Nolan's nose. Sestito hits like a freight train and throws equally heavy bombs. A great first impression for me. Love the guy already... but I'm a sucker for legitimate heavy's.

Wasn't too sad for the Flyers losing him because I'm a bigger Rinaldo fan. I think I'm more upset you guys nabbed him, because I can really see him being a thorn in the side if we meet again in the playoffs. Quite a home debut for him. Hope he does well for you guys (just not when playing LA ;)).

For a guy who's 6'5 I thought he could stand to gain a little more strength. But he kept it simple and didn't try to do too much. Decent first game.

big guy but he has like no balance.

Agree. He fell over pretty easy on a few occasions, nothing to fret over though. Good debut with the Canucks. Big hit on Fraser and then backs it up with a nice fight. He was inches away from making another thunderous hit tonight. It's nice to have toughness in this lineup, and having a handful of guys willing to drop the gloves.

Sestito did quite well in the fight but to me, the most impressive aspect to his game was his willingness to hit.
There's something very appealing about a player of that size that is really willing to throw his body around.

1 for 1 with him in the lineup. Clearly a good luck charm. In all seriousness he is a good addition to our weak 4th line at worst. He has size and is young with a decent amount of potential so Im happy for now. I really liked Volpatti but durability was always an issue with him.

We shall see how long the honeymoon lasts though, shiny new toy always loses its lustre in time.

Pretty happy with his first game, hope he makes a bigger impact tomorrow in Calgary.

I'm hoping he stays away from mcgrattan unless he really has to. I have a feeling he would get destroyed.

Watching Volpatti get rag-dolled today makes you appreciate the need for muscle and switching Sestito for Volpatti

Agree completely, and it's not just him hitting guys along the boards. It's his willingness to hit guys in the open ice, keeps the other team a little more honest.

i thought it was kind of cheap of him to grab nolan before he'd dropped his gloves, and start throwing as nolan is trying to get his gloves off in a hurry. but this guy can certainly throw them, which i like.

What's this dude's nickname? Sesty?

Yeah, he certainly jumped the gun there, and that let him get in those good early shots. I'd maybe attribute that to him being amped up to get a fight under his belt in front of the new hometown fans, though. As soon as he made that hit, you could tell he was looking for it.

I dunno what Nolan was doing, but thought Sestito gave him plenty of time to engage before laying into him. Not sure if Nolan was planning on ditching the visor or what, but he dropped his gloves and stood there waiting to be punched in the face for a little bit too long in my opinion.

Also think Sestito goes by "Tommy" in the room.

Pretty sure his nickname is "Stitty"

Sestito had a grab and arm cocked before Nolan had his gloves off. Looked like Nolan was expecting to square up while Sestito wanted to go right away.

I agree. Sestito made a point to give Nolan time to defend himself and for whatever reason, he didn't.

Sestito better watch his arse tonight though. McGrattan is a handful and then some.

Liked how Sestito moved around the ice. Good skater for his size. He will certainly have opposing dmen looking over their shoulders...

I think it'll be a good thing to have this so soon after coming to the Canucks. We'll likely see tonight if Sestito brings it when he actually has reason to be worried about himself out there.

Sucks to be a goon, you know you're gonna have to fight some giant mouth breather pretty much every night you're on the ice. Mcgrattan is big and scary, and Stitty is almost certainly going to have to drop them with him. Hard to see him avoiding it, to be honest.

I'm actually nervous for Sestito tonight, McGrattan is a top 3 heavyweight fighter in the league and rarely loses. Although, Sestito is fearless, he has to make sure he utilizes his reach rather than going in close on him.
