I'm tired of our fanbase throwing all the blame on AV. You can blame him for some of the issues, but you can't just say "Fire AV" every time the Canucks lose. This guy took our team to the Cup Final and I believe he can do it again. Our team was flat tonight, travel could've played a role in it and Luongo didn't play great, and yes it sucks that AV took that bench minor but it was a team effort that we lost. If we can't get more than 2 goals against the Flames with an AHL goalie in net, that's the team's fault. EVERYONE IS TO BLAME, not just Luongo or AV.

Canucks just ran out of gas in this game. I knew they were going to have a weak 3rd period, it's typical of this team on a back-to-back. They needed to come out of the 2nd with a lead. I had a feeling the GWG would be scored when AV took that bench minor. First bench minor of the season though so I guess I can let it slide.

Luongo no more cost the Canucks this game on the first goal then Schneider would have last night on the 2nd. I didn't think the Canucks were particularly strong last night either, they were just lucky that Quick continued to struggle and handed the Canucks 3 freebies.

I thought face-offs were a problem again tonight. Reffing was weak as usual, the Canucks got to play through it. They don't have a short-hander all season, but they still pushed hard after the Hansen penalty.

Kind of a boring game to watch.

I'm not too upset about the AV bench minor, that hit was high on Tanev and I didn't like it much either. Tanev's been our most consistent defenceman this season and those kind of hits could put us in a disastrous situation if he's taken out. Hell, the Sedins got run and no calls were made. So much for preferential treatment for stars.

I think Tanev-Ballard would have been a better pairing for tonight.

Kassian is not playing all too well right now. On the other hand, I really like the effort shown by Schroeder, he's been working hard at both ends of the ice. His demotion to the 4th is ridiculous. And using him on the point for the PP is baffling.

They have been "flat" since January of last year. Blaming AV is not a random overreaction because of a couple losses. It's been building over a year.
