Getting TT and Patches back and healthy should be a big help, but I'm still concerned that we don't have a 2C. Maybe once those guys are back, give Necas a shot, but right now, he's too good with Aho and the team can't afford to lose that.

99% of OT hockey is possession of the puck. It's almost like they've forgotten that. So many low percentage or bullshit shots that lead to a draw or losing possession completely.

Calling it now, when we win the metro by 2 points no one ill remember this stretch if games where we should have got zero points but managed 3 points on 3 OT losses ( ok they were actually good against the Avs, but still)

They all look mentally off to me. Trying too hard? Sjkei’s good vs bad games ratio seems to be off, Slavin hasn’t looked great, Aho…

The only forward line that’s has consistently LOOKED good is J-J-J and them fellas just ain’t gonna score many goals.

I think there's some of that going on, especially on trying to score in the offensive zone which is leading to odd man rushes / breakaways the other way. Svech was trying to do too much. D are pinching way more and deeper.

Looks like he's going through the motions a lot of times. Even on clearing attempts it's 1 hand on the stick and shuffle it forward. Got beat on a simple move by Perfetti earlier. Even on the shot that Kochetkov saved in OT, he kinda just froze when Jarvis's guy was heading up the ice and left Jarvis to defend.

Him and Aho looked like pylons a bit during that OT. Not sure what's going on this year but our stars are looking like anything but stars. That last line change shouldn't happen with 2 guys wearing the A on the ice.

Well they all just played most of the last 5 minutes to tie the game. Could’ve caused some fatigue.

We need more help offensively. And we need that on top of Patches coming back. We are fundamentally broken in the offensive zone and we are in desperate need of outside help.

Low key, the 4th line is dogshit. The stat lines are shocking. Stepan has 1 assist in 18 games. Stastny also goalless. Kotkaniemi is being paid $4.82 mil for 1 goal in 19 games.

Honestly it would solve a lot of who goes where questions with KK centering the 4th line.

We all know the Meat & Potatoes isn’t going anywhere. Aho, Svech, Turbo, Patches, Nacho are for sure top six players. Right now it looks like a battle between Jarvis and KK for who might get to remain in the top is. Hell they might both loose. Noesen can get right on back to the 4th.

Edit to add: two 12-20 goal scorers in the middle don’t make up for not having one 30+ goal guy in the top.

Weren't the changes in the 3rd: Jarvis to the top line. Noesen and Drury with Svech. KK to the 4th line?

It doesn't mean it's long term for sure, but unless he starts producing, it probably should be permanent.
