As somebody who grew up in the 90s, there is no shame in watching disney musicals for any reason. Even the ones that are not from the 90s. They are major cultural touchstones for my generation, and need no justification.

Ever wonder why we're getting big budget live action remakes of Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin? Millennial nostalgia pieces are big money these days.

It's a got damn shame Robin Williams isn't still around to play the genie in a live action Aladdin movie.

I can definitely agree with that. I don't think I've seen any of their recent efforts, but I certainly still love the classics. I've even seen the two you mentioned on broadway. Very outstanding.
