GDT: Canes arrive in LV

We know that Rod is loyal to a fault and we know there’s the convenient extra day between games to give him the reason he’s looking for. Andersen will start Game 4, I can guarantee it.
That would be such a brain dead move…I would seriously start to question if my cat, with only 2 brain cells, is more capable of critical reasoning.

I think Andersen may have been concussed during the second goal, his body language was all off after that, so he might have his hands tied.

It’s tough. Andersen got them here. The team was awful in front of him. Stone breakaway (called back), Hertl was left unmarked in the slot, an own goal and a Marner partial breakaway.

However, he’s not in game stealing mode right now. I don’t know that the Canes can lock it down against this opponent to make that irrelevant.

Factor in the experience of the past two years, in which a cold Kochetkov started Game 3 in both series losses and lost, and Rod’s not getting a lot of sleep tonight.

Eric Johnson on ESPN showing that he knows absolutely nothing about this years Canes. Says you 100% go back to Freddy because he's been the man all year and if you go Bussi and he doesn't deliver you risk hurting Freddy's confidence. What a swing and a miss, lol! I wonder if anyone fills him in about how wrong he is.
That is the quality analysis I look forward to when tuning into an ESPN NHL broadcast. I’m surprised it didn’t come from Subban TBH.

Team felt gassed after coming down from 4, 2nd OT was all Vegas even if the goal was flukey. Ah well, even it up on Tuesday.

Also you clearly go Bussi for Game 4, sorry Freddie but your time in Raleigh might be over

Also a shame the Canes couldn't complete the comeback, could you imagine the memes from Toronto fans on Marner whiffing on the penalty shot? They still might give him shit for not closing it out and having to win in double OT off a lucky bounce

While Freddie was very solid, I do think he had a horseshoe up his ass in round 1 (especially) and round 2… so many goal posts and pucks finding their way out of the crease when he was beat. In the conference finals the Habs were completely dominated, David Ayres would have been looked good in net in games 2-5. The Hurricanes in front got Freddie here more so than the other way around.

Against Vegas he has been leaky and looks slow moving side to side like he did most of the season. Sometimes you need your guy in net to make a save on a breakaway like Bussi did tonight. It feels like Andersen hasn’t stopped a single Vegas breakaway so far. I think he has played too much, and we know he is not very durable. It was a good run, but he is crispy, time for the next guy.
