The loss of the 4 or more teeth points to him, in the middle, being a former great player. Probably one of the best players this past 10,00 years.

Yep, Pionk needs to be insulated to be effective. You expect him to be bad in the defensive zone. So you put him with a player that is good defensively. I think he would be a lot more effective playing with Samberg than Dillon.

I've been down on Dillon all season so maybe there's some confirmation bias, but at the very least I feel like Pionk and Dillon are incredibly ill suited as a pairing and that should have been addressed much earlier. Neither of them are effective together.

yeah, they don't belong together but I think that has way more to do with pionk then anything else, I don't think dillon has been bad when paired with anyone else

Definitely, Saturday's a big one. Perhaps one of the biggest games of our season. Two daughters and three grandkids will be here to resuscitate the old guy if the Jets don't win that one.

Just to echo several posters here: I thought we played a not too bad game tonight. Sure, the Canes scored on a few sloppy plays on our part but the same thing happened to them on our goals so it all evens out. I think a mediocre night from BSD may have been the difference but I'm not unhappy with the team's overall performance. I'm sure Dave will do better on Sunday.

Anyways, that was actually a pretty good game by the Jets. Take away one big save by Andersen and add one for Rittich and the Jets are ahead. Stupid giveaways, clean those up, but apart from that pretty okay.
