I get that he can’t play 82 games for us, but that’s a win with 37 in net.
This is correct.

But, this is the way.

Pionk leading all dmen in ice time is certainly a way to do it. I dunno, I think with a backup in net you want less havoc.

Pionk started looking good again away from Dillon. Dillon has had a couple short stretches of passable hockey but overall he's been awful.

Over the season it hasn't really been close, and Pionk has dragged down a lot of pairings. He's also basically all offense and gives it all back defensively, where Dillon is good defensively and zero offense.

Pionk has had some better games of late, but you're f***ed if he's leading the team in ice time.

I have to say this is why the Sabres are my second team now... they never give up - Jets (SOME of the Jets) do.

Scheif playing selfish. Wheeler should be third line. Pionk has his head in his ass.

Aside from that...
Bones is starting to remind me of Bob Murdoch... and Im sorry for triggering that PTSD.
This game is ultimately on Chevy for not having a real backup.

2 out of 3 on a road trip is a good result. With a trip to California next week the Jets will be finished playing on bad ice, which I think affects the game of some of the stars.

The 27-7-26 line once again had a good game. Nice little pick play by Namestnikov who doesn't get on the score sheet to allow Ehlers the open ice.

Breaking up the top line resulted in a 3rd line goal, but I wonder how coach is going to handle Dubois coming back into the lineup. The opportunity is there for getting Connor going again with Duby, and that would reverberate, as I think one of Lowry or Barron gets knocked down a line, but overall the talent level, and the attacking power of this team will increase.

Terrible game for 5-4 on defense. Just not in sync at all, and bad giveaways.

Just my opinion but I'd like to see a defense of 44-2, 5-54, 88-4. Capobianco playing in this game was a smart move to match the Canes speed. He really hasn't had a bad game yet. Almost scored by attacking from the defensive position.

It would be nice if Rittich won a game down the stretch, for the team and for his own confidence. I'm not sure he is in the NHL next year.

I like the Canes defense. To me that was the clear advantage they had in this game.
