The only one really worth moving up for is Michkov and he might fall to us, and if he does we might not even pick him anyway. So why squander assets ?

I like Beck and Matheson a lot. But sometimes difficult decisions have to be made. Romanov was difficult to lose. But it was worth it for Dach. Getting a potential generational player may cost more than Dach though.

Had to give up Muller to get Turgeon.

We’re not in the Duck’s or Jacket’s position to pass on Michkov just to fall back on Fantilli or Carlsson. Which would be a very soft comfy landing. Passing on Michkov @5, would be falling off a cliff to crash on a player on a whole other level even if the said player reaches a reasonable top upside projection. Habs have not been in a position to knowingly draft or pass on a player like that since Lafleur/Dionne.

That's because a lots of fans also don't know there is another 100ft after the blue line either. All that matters is scoring goals. Look at Toronto and Edmonton, they get it!

We could even get ride of dmen and goalies in fact. Who needs them when you score goals.
