You might have noticed Danault playing 1C last year while Chucky was moved to the wing, THAT MIGHT be why there is a comparison, only people being wilfully ignorant can see it otherwise. Danault ONLY got the chance because DD and chucky got injured.

And what the hell does that have to do with Galchenyuk looking awful in pre-season now? When Galchenyuk came back he was put back on the top line and then Julien replaced him with Danault. Does Galchenyuk still look awful now because Danault? The excuses just keep going on and on for Galchenyuk, first it was Desharnais/Therrien holding him back now that they're gone it is Danault/Julien holding him back.

No reason? Galchenyuk's injury is the only reason why Danault was moved to the 1st line. Right after his injury, Galchenyuk was put back at center between Pacioretty and Radulov. But for some reasons, his level of play wasn't as good as the beginning of the season and was moved back to the wing.

Man would I llove a proposed deal sending Alex Galchenyuk to the Avalanche, in a Three way trade..Duchene goes to the Columbus team as they have coveted him all summer, and Montreal adds center Pierre Dubois..Prospects/picks can be involved, but we would also ship a defenseman to the Avs in that deal..I see that trade helping all three teams, and We now have a dREAM Top 2 centers of Drouin-Dubois...add Danault and we have THREE French Canadian young centers..The Triple "D's.
