Yeah, and many players too. You have 18 skaters on a hockey team, don’t think it’s wrong to have 2-3 guys like this on the roster.

Go get Curtis Lazar on July 1. :)

How I saw that goal - Fast almost missed the empty net and struggle with puck handling, but Lemieux was nearby and helped Fast to score that empty netter. I`m glad that Libor had a good debute game - important for that blueline. I thought Skjei was ok, but I only saw highlights not the whole game.

Our first line -2 -2 -3 what happened? :)

I missed the game. I just finished watching the encore, and I’m kind of proud of this team. Hajek had a great first shift, played well, and made some nice passes. There is some offensive potential there for sure. I don’t think he will ever have a big shot, and I doubt he’s ever going to be flashy, but if he can move the puck and play smart, he’ll put up points. Him and Pionk are ok together. Nieves made some really nice passes. Skjei made some nice plays. Smith was very good on the 4th line. Namestnikov was good. Lemieux’s passing and puck control isn’t great, but I still really like the guy. Tony was very solid today. Pretty disappointing that he couldn’t keep the streak going, but oh well.

Yes I`ve no idea what that is all about - he is a gritty player so that`s all good, but the other part of it - we dont like to hear in pro. sport.

Veseys face is priceless in that moment. Good for BL. Going to be yet another reason teams will not want to play us once we’re good again. We’re going to be skillful AND nasty and make you just not want to play us - ever. I for one think this has been a fantastic rebuild season - completely unlike the EDM, ARI & NYI early rebuild years. Into it.

That's exactly what I predicted would happen 2 months ago: Hartford Wolf Pack (AHL) / Maine Mariners (ECHL) 2018-19: Part IX

People complain that I crap on our prospects just because it's safer to say that someone will fail since most fail, but with Hajek I was standing alone saying he'll do well in the NHL when everyone was freaking out that his stats look awful. Sometimes a prospect is underrated, though far more often, he's overrated. Just wanted to point out that I'm not just here to piss off people and to judge by the stats.

And, which team has a fan base that is KNOWN for being obnoxious (but, really is misunderstood) but in reality, (in which the other team's fan base.....clearly isn't) they actually KNOW what they are talking about......and is equally...... genuinely surprised by their teams success, but NOT really "falling victim" and lying to themselves about their temporary success and heeding towards the "long distance rewards" of giving a little NOW, and TAKING a lot LATER? Where as the "other team" is taking a lot NOW and not having enough later........Which team is which?

Early votes are in.......chalk up another good move by Gorton. Lemieux is making that deal look like we didn't lose our socks.
It very interesting. We lose Zuccha, Dallas and their fans were temp thrilled, but must be thinking.......are the Rangers crazy? We don't have a guy like this.
I am wondering the same about Lemieux. I know he wasn't getting minutes......but jeez.
They didn't need a guy like this come PO's? Someone in Winnipeg did this kid a HUGE FAVOR........if you love someone, set them free.

You mean you actually have to watch the game? I thought he was going to be terrible because his stats were bad..../s

Thanks @Beacon really appreciate all of your awesome insight.
I know you don't claim it to be Godspeed, but you seem to really knkw what you are talking about. I am really sad to hear how Day really isn't close to cutting it. Oh well, imo we have way too many players that "won't ever make it" opposed to those that will.
Hopefully soon, this will play out differently. I suppose you will enjoy watching Libor with the Rangers, even more that we all will.......he's your baby, not ours.
His call-up was a huge surprise for me.....probably most of us. We all knew he wasn't doing well, or at least we "thought" that.
Todays NHL with all the stats and everything......not enough emphasis on the things (nhlness) that are most important. Good on you, again.....thanks.
